The thesis
During a disaster, the product must answer four questions quickly: what is happening here, what changed, how reliable is it and what do authorities say?
AlertaMap combines global incident feeds in an interface designed for calm comprehension rather than spectacle. Every useful view is encoded in the URL, so a person can save or send the exact place, hazards, time window and incident without creating an account.
Provenance and freshness travel with each fact. Official, measured, modelled and community-reported information are never presented as equivalent.
